Youth Engagement Component

The youth involvement portion of the ICSP/OCP took place formally in the Barriere schools on Thurs. Oct. 21st, 2010, leading up to the Energy Day on the Saturday. The Focus team partnered with a progressive group of youth educators based out of Jasper, Alberta. Senior HS Teacher and Jasper Sustainability Youth Liaison, Adam Robb, will be leading a small group of sustainability youth change makers to work with the Barriere students and the Focus team. On the Friday, the team worked with interested students to create a minidocumentary on Barriere that looked at the current sustainability setting and identifying opportunities and constraints around the community. The completed work from the Thursday and Friday were presented at a booth during the Energy Day activities on the Saturday.
